This 3-day Wildebeest River Crossing safari from Zanzibar takes you to the spectacular landscapes of Tarangire National Park and the northern region of Serengeti National Park. After flying to Arusha Airport, you will begin with a game drive in Tarangire, known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. The journey then continues to Northern Serengeti, where you will track the famous Great Migration and witness the dramatic Mara River crossings, while searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The safari concludes with a morning game drive before flying back to Zanzibar.

Day 01: Zanzibar to Arusha Airport to Tarangire National Park

Pick up from your Zanzibar Hotel and Catch a Flight to Arusha Airport Where You Will Be Welcomed by Your Guide and Head to Tarangire National Park for Your Game Drive. Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide who will brief you about the journey ahead. You will then depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and a variety of bird species. In the late afternoon, you will transfer to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight, preparing for the next day’s journey toward the Serengeti.

Day 02: Scenic Journey to Northern Serengeti

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park, traveling through the vast savannah plains toward the northern Serengeti region. This area is famous for the dramatic wildebeest migration and the thrilling Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras attempt to cross crocodile-filled waters in search of fresh grazing. Your game drive will focus on tracking these migration herds while also searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards that closely follow the movement of the animals. The northern Serengeti is also home to elephants, giraffes, and many antelope species. After a full day of wildlife viewing in this spectacular landscape, you will return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 03: Morning Game Drive in Northern Serengeti and Flight Back to Zanzibar

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the northern Serengeti to maximize your chances of witnessing wildlife activity, especially the wildebeest migration near the Mara River. The cool morning hours often provide excellent opportunities to see predators on the move and large herds grazing across the plains. After the game drive, you will transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience that combined the tropical beauty of Zanzibar with the world-renowned wildlife of the Serengeti.
