DAY 1 - Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park, Boat and Village Tour
A professional driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Mtemere Airstrip at Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, our drivers will transfer you to Africa Safari Camp where you can unwind. Later, accompanied by our expert guide, you will explore the local village and witness various cultural activities. Afterward, you will enjoy a delicious lunch back at Africa Safari Selous.

DAY 2 - Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
Following breakfast, your full-day adventure in Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) will commence at 7:30 am and continue until the evening. Our experienced drivers and guides will pick you up from Africa Safari Selous Lodge, and you’ll have the opportunity to witness a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and more.
As you explore the park, you’ll also have the chance to spot various bird species and take in the beautiful landscape scenery, featuring diverse topography that includes wetlands, dry grasslands, light acacia forests, and elevated areas with stunning views of distant mountains.
During the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch and take some time to relax before resuming the game drive. As the day comes to a close, you’ll return to Africa Safari Selous for a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest, preparing for another exciting day ahead.

DAY 3 - Full-Day Game Drive on Different Routes in Nyerere National Park (Selous GR) & Visit Hot Springs
After breakfast, you will do another full-day game drive until the evening. You’ll go on different routes from the previous day, starting from the Africa Safari Camp where you will be picked up by our professional drivers and guides. Today, you will get to see various animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and more. You will also see birds, and landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains.
You will also get a chance to visit a hot spring and even go swimming, but it depends on the accessibility of the road to the location, since during the rainy season, there will be mud on the road.
In the afternoon, you will get a packed lunch and some time to rest. Then, you’ll continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will return to Africa Safari Selous for dinner and sleep and to prepare for tomorrow.

DAY 4 - Walking Safari and Flying Back to Zanzibar
On this last day, after breakfast, you will do a walking tour in the forest with our Bushman, accompanied by an armed ranger. You’ll return to the camp for breakfast and prepare to leave for the Mtemere Airstrip where you will be picked up by our drivers and fly to Zanzibar.
