itinerary
DAY 1 - Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Depart early from Dar es Salaam and take the SGR (Standard Gauge Railway) train to Morogoro, enjoying a comfortable and scenic journey. Upon arrival at the Morogoro train station, continue your drive to Mikumi National Park (approx. 1.5-hour drive). Arrive in the afternoon and embark on an exciting game drive through Mikumi’s wildlife-rich Mkata Floodplain. Spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more as you explore the park. Overnight at a lodge or camp in Mikumi.

DAY 2 - Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
Spend the entire day exploring Mikumi’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, visiting areas like the Mkata Floodplain, a hotspot for predator-prey interactions.
Take a break for a picnic lunch in the park. Overnight stay at Mikumi.

DAY 3 - Mikumi to Saadani National Park
After breakfast, depart Mikumi and drive to Saadani National Park (approximately 6 hours). Arrive in the afternoon with game drive in Saadani National Park and settle into your accommodation near the park.
Relax and enjoy the unique coastal setting of Saadani, where wildlife roams close to the beach. Overnight stay at a beachside lodge in Saadani.

DAY 4 - Saadani National Park to Dar es Salaam
Start the morning with a guided game drive in Saadani, where you might spot elephants, buffaloes, and even lions near the ocean. Return to your lodge for breakfast, then drive back to Dar es Salaam.
