This 3-day safari experience to Mikumi National Park offers a short but exciting adventure from Dar es Salaam. It is designed for travelers who want to enjoy wildlife, nature, and beautiful landscapes in a comfortable and simple way. You will travel through scenic countryside, enjoy full game drives, and have time to see many animals such as elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and buffaloes. Each day is well planned to give you enough time inside the park, leaving in the evening close to park closing time to maximize wildlife viewing. After each day, you will relax at your accommodation and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 1 – Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Game Viewing

Your safari journey begins in Dar es Salaam where our driver will pick you up early in the morning and start a scenic drive toward Mikumi National Park. Along the way you will enjoy views of villages, mountains, and open landscapes with short stops for rest and photos. You will arrive at Mikumi in time for a picnic lunch after entering the park for an afternoon game drive. This first game drive gives you a chance to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and many birds in their natural home. The drive continues slowly until evening, staying inside the park as long as possible to enjoy wildlife when it is most active before heading for your accommodation for dinner and rest.

DAY 2 – Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation, you spend the whole day exploring Mikumi National Park on a full game drive. The day is designed to give you enough time to search for wildlife in different areas of the park while enjoying the open savannah and beautiful scenery. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a safe and comfortable resting point. You will continue the game drive in the afternoon, staying inside the park until the evening when animals are still active near sunset. Expect to see lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and many birds during the day. The experience is relaxed, giving you time to enjoy every moment before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight rest.

DAY 3 – Mikumi National Park Game Drive then Transfer to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast at your accommodation, you enjoy a short morning game drive in Mikumi National Park as you look for any wildlife you may have missed during the previous days. The morning is a good time to see animals as they are still active and the park is calm and peaceful. After the game drive you will exit the park and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. Along the way you can enjoy the scenery and take short breaks for rest and photos. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening, marking the end of your safari experience with beautiful memories of wildlife, nature, and adventure in Tanzania.
